This is my entry for the Miss Universe Pageant - Senshi Style at . I love to draw outfits but I never get around finishing the pics...

For this I choose Rei Hino. I hesitated between her and and Hotaru.

Done with colored pencils and stabilo thin pen. I also used gold and silver metalic pen one some but you can't really see it on the scan. Lines added with photofiltre rather quickly. I'll post the pics individually and put the links here.
I tried to keep the bird and fire idea for all these designs.

Portrait - I went for some artistic make up that evoke flames. Threw the Mars symbol in it for fun. Pale lipstick for the lips. Her air is piled a bit messily and kept in place by some fancy hair pin. I also added some jewelry.

Evening dress - It's somewhat simple. Some sort of corset, in some kind of leathery material with a phenix and feather pattern. It's tied with ribbons. The skirt is constituted two layer a golden-orange over a slightly darker with a brown petticoat. Her hair is in a bun held by a pin of the same material than the corset with feathers. Jewelry is made of gold and feathers.

Swimming suit - Red bikini with some white white flame pattern. She also got a "paréo" with a phenix pattern. I kept her manga pendant.

Theme - I choose indian themed clothing. Inspired by the spectacle Barhati (in France, it's a Bollywood spectacle), I used the photo on the publicity as a pose ref. Also used various photograph of the show found on internet for costume ref. Mixed several outfits together with some alteration (like the bird design).She also has some henna tattoo on her hands and feet because I can.

Wedding dress - White with golden shade. Her corset, veil and the hem of a dress are embroidered. Her hair is pinned with white shaped pin and her veil is kept by a diadem.

I had lots of fun making these. ^^
