Queen Serenity's court

Here is Queen Serenity's court.

I'm still getting used to photoshop and my tablet on mac but I'm getting better.I'm even starting to experiment.

I used two picture by Naoko Takeushi as pose ref/composition ref for this. Queen Serenity's pose is based on a Neo Queen Serenity drawing. The court part of the drawing is based on another drawing, each mother takes the place of her respective daughter except Naenia (who takes the place of Usagi).

The background is the Moon palace 'quickly' sketched with tablet using a manga image resized for ref.

Queen Serenity gets a new dress because I love to design those. I experimented transparency on her selves and I'm quite happy with the result. I tried to keep her dress Moon kingdom style by referring her daughter and granddaughter's dresses. Her fairy wings were the inspiration for her back bow.
When I had sketched it, the dress was a bit deferent. It had three layers, no back bow and her transparent selves extended to wrap around her arms. She also had some hair ornaments that I left out.

On the left, from top to bottom you have Queen Eos of Venus, Queen Paventia of Jupiter (nicknamed Tia), High priestress and Queen Nerio of Mars (She acquired the title of queen by marrying the King of Mars), Queen Furina (nickamed Furi/Fury, I found funny to have a mercurian that could be called that ) and Princess Naenia, handmaiden of Serenity.
I dont really know what possessed me to gave Tia that haircut but I really like it.
Eos' hairstyle is a bit to much like Sailor Irida's for my liking but it was supposed to look different (Irida has seven pigtails while Eos has her hair pulled back by pins).
And Furina didn't turn out like I wanted at all. She literally refused to cooperate when I drew her.
Nerio's pin was suposed to be flame or feather, it ended looking like Sedna's. (I really like that pin...) Her eyes are strange because she's supposed to be nearly blind.
I'm really happy with Naenia, she turned out exactly like I wanted.

I'll post more about the queens on their family picture. Mars is waiting to be colored and Mercury is being sketched (Furina is cooperating so far).
